L’Amnesty International a appel֖, vendredi 8 mars, à la libération du journaliste Stanis Bujakera, emprisonné depuis 6 mois à la prison centrale de Kinshasa.
La Directrice régional-adjointe d’Amnesty International pour l’Afrique de l’Est et Australe, Sarah Jackson a lancé cet appel dans une dépêche parvenue à Radio Okapi :
« La libération de Stanis Bujakera n’a que trop tardé. La prolongation de sa détention arbitraire s’apparente à un harcèlement judiciaire, destiné à envoyer un signal inquiétant aux autres journalistes et à toutes les voix libres en RDC. Cette parodie doit cesser. Les autorités de la RDC doivent libérer immédiatement Stanis Bujakera ».
Elle a également encouragé le chef de l’Etat Tshisekedi à veiller à la libération de Stanis Bujakera et à la liberté des médias.
En février dernier, la demande de Stanis Bujakera de liberté provisoire a été rejeté.
Stanis Bujakera avait été arrêté le 8 septembre 2023.
