L’administrateur du territoire de Lubero, le colonel Alain Kiwewa appelle la population de sa juridiction à ne pas paniquer face à la progression des rebelles du M23 au Nord et Sud-Kivu. Il demande à la population de rester sereine et de faire confiance aux militaires des Forces armées de la RDC, engagés sur différents fronts.
Cet officier lance cet appel à cause d’une psychose généralisée qui règne au sein de la population, depuis la chute de la ville de Bukavu au Sud-Kivu, entre les mains des rebelles du M23, soutenus par l’armée rwandaise il y a quelques jours.
Ces habitants redoutent une attaque imminente du M23 à Lubero.
« La situation sécuritaire dans le territoire de Lubero est relativement calme. Il y a une psychose qui règne auprès de la population de Lubero. Chaque fois que j’ai l’occasion de parler avec la population, je lui recommande toujours d’avoir confiance aux autorités politico-administratives et d’avoir confiance en nos forces de défense et de sécurité parce que notre cause est juste », affirme le colonel Alain Kiwewa.
